Change your seat count mid-cycle and how proration works

Seats change under Billing → Seats, and the two directions work differently: adding is immediate, removing waits for renewal.

When you add a seat mid-cycle, you’re charged only for the days remaining. On a $12/month seat with 10 days left in the cycle, the prorated charge is about $4, billed to your card right away so the new teammate can be invited immediately.

When you remove a seat, it stays usable until the end of the current cycle and simply doesn’t renew — there are no partial refunds, so there’s no rush to remove someone the day they leave.

The Seats page always shows the math before you confirm: current seats, the change, the prorated amount (if any), and what your next renewal will cost.
