Post share-link notifications to a Slack channel
5 min read
The Slack integration is connected once per workspace, then configured per folder — so your #design channel hears about brand-asset links without seeing every upload from finance.
- 1 Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack and click “Connect”. Slack asks you to authorize the Anchor Cloud app for your Slack workspace.
- 2 Open the folder you want announcements from, then Notifications → Slack, and pick the target channel.
- 3 Choose which events post: new share links, new uploads, new comments, or any combination. Most teams start with share links only.
- 4 Click “Send test” — a sample message appears in the channel so you can confirm the wiring before real activity flows.
For private channels, invite the bot first with /invite @anchorcloud inside Slack — otherwise the channel won’t appear in the picker.
